Ottawa River Kayak and Canoe Programs

Come join us at our base camp along the banks of the Ottawa River where we offer 140 acres of free camping, washrooms,
hot showers, and sauna. All of our programs include meals, local course transportation, and all equipment including boat,
paddle, helmet, life jacket, wetsuit, and spray-deck. Our certified instructors offer friendly and professional
instruction as well as video analysis and a complimentary group video on five-day courses.
Custom dates are available for a group of four, minimum.

Beginner's Course - Kayak
Cost: $595.00/person*

This course is designed to make you a competent paddler, aware of the river and your own abilities.
You will learn the fundamentals of maneuvering a kayak, whitewater dynamics, the Eskimo roll,
and related paddling and bracing strokes.

Beginner's Course - Canoe
Cost: $595.00/person*
Doubles Rate Cost: $575.00/person*
Geared toward safe river travel and whitewater play, this course teaches the paddler all necessary
strokes and rescue techniques to be a safe and aware canoeist.

Intermediate Course - Kayak or Canoe
Cost: $595.00/person*
Doubles Rate Cost: $575.00/person*
To enroll in this course, you should have previous experience running Class Two whitewater. In a
kayak, you should have a flatwater Eskimo roll. In enrolling for canoe,
some experience in the stern paddler's position is required. During this
program, we take you to the limit. We refine your basic strokes and also
teach you how to gracefully "play" the river.

Three-Day Long Weekend Clinics
Cost: $385.00*
The logical step if you don't have the time to try a five-day paddling
vacation course is to try one of our long weekend clinics for three
days of learning and fun. Classes for beginners and intermediates available
in your choice of kayaking or canoeing. We provide all equipment, certified
instructors, local course transportation, meals, two nights free camping,
only $7 for 3rd night camping, and use of
all base camp facilities.
Available on long weekends in July, August, and September.
Two-Day Ottawa River Clinics
Cost: $250.00* (five meals included)

Join some of the best women paddlers in the East for a week of instruction, adventure, and good times.
Enjoy the atmosphere of a program run by women for women only. Classes for beginner and intermediate boaters.
